Frontiers in Public Health and Epidemiology (FPHE) is a peer-reviewed, open access journal published by Zenith Publications. It is dedicated to advancing knowledge that protects and improves the health of populations worldwide. The journal publishes original research, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, short communications, and perspectives across public health and epidemiology.
FPHE provides an international platform for researchers, public health practitioners, epidemiologists, and policymakers to share evidence that informs prevention, surveillance, and health system decisions. The journal welcomes work on infectious and non-communicable disease epidemiology, environmental and occupational health, maternal and child health, health equity, global health, health policy, and health services research.
The journal places particular emphasis on research from diverse populations and resource settings, including low- and middle-income countries, where locally generated evidence is essential for effective public health action. By bringing together quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods research, FPHE supports a broad understanding of the social, environmental, and biological determinants of health.
All submissions undergo rigorous double-blind peer review by independent experts, guided by internationally recognised standards of publication ethics and transparent reporting, such as the STROBE, PRISMA, and CONSORT guidelines. Articles are published under an open access model, making research freely and immediately available to readers everywhere without subscription barriers.
Our mission is to bridge the gap between research and practice. We publish rigorous, relevant, and accessible evidence that strengthens disease prevention, guides health policy, and contributes to healthier, more equitable communities around the world.
