References should follow the Vancouver citation style.

In-text citations should be shown using numbers inside parentheses. When more than one reference is needed at the same point, list the numbers together in sequence.

Example: The rate of cancer mortality continues to rise (19).

Example with multiple citations: This form of adenocarcinoma is rare (29,30).

References must be numbered in the order they are first cited within the manuscript, and each reference keeps the same number throughout the text.

For journal articles, use the Index Medicus abbreviations for journal names. When a publication has one to six authors, list every author. If there are more than six authors, include the first six names followed by et al.
