Research Interest: My core research interest centers on the bidirectional interaction between the kidney and the gut, known as the “kidney-gut axis.” I am dedicated to exploring how, under pathological conditions such as chronic kidney disease (CKD), gut microbiota dysbiosis, impaired intestinal barrier function, and the accumulation of uremic toxins (e.g., indoxyl sulfate and p-cresol) form a vicious cycle that drives systemic inflammation and disease progression. My research aims to elucidate the molecular and cellular mechanisms of this axis through multi-omics technologies, germ-free animal models, and clinical cohort analyses. Furthermore, I seek to explore microbiome-based therapeutic strategies—such as probiotics, dietary interventions, and fecal microbiota transplantation—with the goal of paving new avenues for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of kidney diseases.
