Open Access

All journals published by Zenith Publications follow a gold open access model. This means that, once accepted and published, articles are freely and permanently available online to anyone, anywhere in the world, without subscription or registration barriers.

Zenith believes that removing access restrictions accelerates scientific discovery, improves clinical practice, and supports equitable participation in global research.

Licensing and Copyright

Authors retain the copyright to their work. By publishing with Zenith, authors grant us a non-exclusive right to publish and disseminate their article.

Unless otherwise stated, Zenith journals publish articles under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license. This license allows others to read, download, share, adapt, and build upon the work for any lawful purpose, provided that proper attribution is given to the original authors and source.

The specific Creative Commons license applied to each article is clearly indicated on the article’s webpage and PDF.

Access, Use and Reuse

Under the applicable license, readers and institutions are free to:

  • Read and download the full text
  • Share and distribute the article
  • Include it in course materials, repositories, and scholarly collections
  • Reuse figures, tables, and text excerpts with appropriate citation
  • Perform text and data mining (TDM) in accordance with the license terms and relevant privacy or data-protection laws

No embargo periods are applied. The version of record remains openly accessible from first publication onward.

Archiving and Long-Term Preservation

To ensure enduring accessibility, Zenith:

  • Assigns a DOI to each article
  • Maintains full-text and metadata in stable, backed-up systems
  • Prepares content and metadata in formats suitable for indexing and repository ingestion (e.g., PubMed Central–compatible XML, where applicable)

If a journal’s operations are ever transferred or discontinued, Zenith will take reasonable steps to ensure continued access to the published content.

Self-Archiving and Institutional Repositories

Authors are encouraged to deposit:

  • The submitted manuscript (preprint), and/or
  • The accepted or published version (postprint / version of record)

in institutional or subject repositories, personal websites, or preprint servers, with a clear citation and link to the Zenith version of record. No embargo is required.

Commitment to Ethical Open Access

Open access at Zenith is inseparable from ethical publishing and rigorous peer review. All journals adhere to internationally recognized guidelines (such as COPE, ICMJE and WAME) and maintain clear policies on authorship, conflicts of interest, data transparency, and research integrity.

Our open access model is therefore not only about making articles free to read—it is about ensuring that what is freely available is also reliable, traceable, and of high scientific quality.
