Biography
Dr. Shigao Huang is a Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Xijing Hospital (The First Affiliated Hospital), Air Force Medical University, Xi’an, China. His academic work sits at the intersection of oncology, translational medicine, and emerging therapeutic technologies, with a particular focus on precision medicine for cancer. He is also serving as the deputy chairperson of the Precision Medicine Committee of the Bethune Spirit Research Association.
Prof. Huang’s primary research interests encompass immunotherapy, nanomedicine, and radiotherapy for cancer, as well as the radiation protection strategies and the application of artificial intelligence to cancer diagnosis, treatment prediction, and prognosis. Within these domains, he has made notable contributions to photoimmunotherapy – the combination of phototherapy with immunoadjuvant strategies to induce immunogenic cell death and systemic anti-tumor responses and to nanomedicine-combined immunotherapy, including the use of nano-loaded natural killer cells as carriers for cancer phototherapy. He has also contributed substantially to 3D organoid technology to screen drug and related mechanism. To date, Prof. Huang has authored over 41 SCI/SCIE-indexed publications, accumulating more than 2000 citations, and peer review 40 SCI journals.
